about me « Home

I was born in Parma in 1953. I got married after the high school, and since then I have lived in the wonderful Trieste. After my first son's birth in 1972, I decided that he should have the chance to grow up with a cat, just like I did.
Even then I loved Sacred Cats of Burma particularly, but I chose to take an abandoned kitten in order to give her a home and lots of love. Since then I've had two other sons and many other kittens - from that first cat and from others of mine, all strays, who filled our home with happiness and joy for many many years.
In the year 2000 my two last cats died, my sons became independent and found a home of their own, immediately filling it with dogs and stray cats. |

The wide loft in the center of Trieste where my husband and I are living looked empty to us, so I decided that the time had come to fulfil my old desire to have a small cattery of the so-loved Birmans. I chose the name Miramare, the castle which is a symbol of Trieste, as a sign of affection towards my city of adoption.
So Miramare Birmans Cattery was born, FIAF/WCF and AGABI associate-founder of the BirmItalia Club.
